Even Start Bayou Consortium GED Classes with Daycare
Would you like to get your GED but you need daycare for your young children in order to attend classes?
If so, the Even Start Bayou Consortium may be able to help you.
The Even Start Bayou Consortium is a comprehensive, four-component family literacy program, which services families with children between six weeks and seven years of age, whose parent/parents are in need of academic upgrade such as obtaining their General Education Development (GED) Diploma, gaining employability skills, obtaining post-secondary educational skills, etc.The following four components are integrated within a site-based as well as a home-based setting:
- Adult Education Instruction;
- On-site Early Childhood Education;
- Parenting Education; and
- Parent and Child Interactive Literacy Activities (ILA/PACT)
There are no costs to attend the program. All testing, instruction, family instructional trips and on-site school breakfast and lunch are free of charge.
