Below is the notice of the opening of the waiting list for PUBLIC HOUSING in the Acre Road Subdivision.  This is NOT the same waiting list as the one used for the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program. The Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program waiting list is NOT OPEN at this time.  There will be a public notice published in the New Orleans Times-Picayune when that waiting list is opened.

The Housing Authority of Jefferson PArish will be taking names of persons interested in placing an application on the waiting list for Public Housing at the Acre Road Subdivision, by mail only, you are not to come to the office, no applications will be accepted at the office unless they are mailed. If you are in need of rental assistance and would like to make an application, please send the following information on plain sheet of paper. (1) You’re Name (2) Your Mailing Address (3) Your Social Security Number (4) Your Signature (5) A valid phone number. Be sure to put all five (5) things on your sheet of paper. If all five (5) are not received your request to make an application will not be processed. Mail this information to: Housing Authority of Jefferson Parish 1718 Betty St. Marrero, la 70072. Your request MUST be received at this address, no application will be accepted by hand delivery it MUST be mailed. It MUST be postmarked no later than August 29, 2008. If it is received with a postmark after August 29, 2008 it will not be processed. To receive an application for the waiting list you must 1) Put the five pieces of information on a plain sheet of paper 2) mail it to the above address 3) no later than August 29, 2008.
